Jake's sister, Jayna, and her husband are now hosting the crazy traveling circus in Austin Texas. After being in a few places that sort of in the middle of nowhere, we are now in a city. I slept a lot of the way from Carlsbad, NM to Austin because Jake got us up at the crack to leave. (It was still dark.) When I went to sleep, we were still in the desert. Lovely views of a bunch of nothing. I have not ever gotten the whole "the desert has its own beauty" thing but I know everyone has their own eye for beauty. This trip has not changed my view of the desolation of Arizona and New Mexico even though we had a wonderful time in Carlsbad.
The point is - civilization. And sucking at blogging. I am using the desolation as an excuse for poor blogging which means that from here on out, I'll have to step it up since I think that we are out of the major desolate areas. One of the things I'm working on is getting picture albums linked to the blog. What fun is it if we don't put the pictures of the crazy?
